| I knew from the get go that a visit to Michelin star SUD Ristorante in Quarto (Na) would be an explosion of flavors from Campania. Chef Marianna Vitale is famous for just that. What I wasn't expecting, however, was this sandwich on her aperitif menu. It's called the Crostone - toasted bread with mozzarella di bufala cheese, marinated anchovies, tomatoes, and lightly sauteed 'sea lettuce'. We paired it with a glass of Falanghina dei Campi Flegrei DOC by Cantina Contrada Salandra. This should tie us over until dinner. |
