Snapshot of the Day - Piano di Montevergine Taurasi Riserva 2008, Feudi Di San Gregorio

I had this wine last week at lunch.  I know what you're thinking :A heavy Campania red in the middle of the summer?"  I say yes.  I mean, I was in Irpinia and here Agliancico is on the table all year long.  Feudi Di San Gregorio's Piano Di Montevergine Taurasi Riserva 2008 was the perfect pairing for Chef Paolo Barrale of Marenna' Ristorante second course of  beef with an Aglianico red wine reduction sace.  Prosit!
